Tourism management studies of the smart era

About Journal

Since the earliest stages of human history, people have traveled in various forms, primarily as a means of adapting to their geographical surroundings. In the modern era, travel and tourism have taken on increasingly complex and multifaceted dimensions. Tourism studies are now conducted by scholars from a wide range of disciplines, making tourism an inseparable part of fields such as geography, psychology, sociology, management, and more.

In this context, the Journal of Tourism Management Studies Smart Era, published by Vali-e-Asr University of Rafsanjan, seeks to reflect the perspectives and insights of researchers across diverse academic fields. With a scientific and scholarly approach, the journal aims to contribute to the growing body of interdisciplinary tourism research.

 Thematic Scopes of the Journal

The contemporary world is rapidly advancing toward artificial intelligence, and when the term "intelligence" is invoked, both experts and the general public instinctively turn their thoughts to AI. However, various studies have demonstrated that "intelligence" and "smartness" encompass a far broader meaning. The first approach to intelligence and smartness is oriented toward information and communication technology. The second approach, which carries a more comprehensive significance, encompasses components such as learning, adaptability, decision-making, reasoning, logic, problem-solving, abstract thinking, predictive capability, capacity for change, ability to take action toward goal achievement and reasoning, information processing capacity, complex computation capabilities, and the ability to comprehend relationships, innovation, initiative, and creativity.
